Description

This Sweet Cream Berry Breakfast Bake is a soft, comforting morning dish made with tender bread soaked in vanilla cream and filled with juicy berries. Perfect for make-ahead breakfasts, family brunches, and slow weekends.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups day-old bread, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Butter a baking dish generously.
  2. Spread torn bread evenly in the dish and scatter berries on top.
  3. Whisk cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla, and lemon zest until smooth.
  4. Pour mixture evenly over bread and gently press to soak.
  5. Rest for 20 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40–45 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes
