- 2–3 tablespoons granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the strawberries under cold water, pat them dry, and remove the green tops.
- Cut larger strawberries in half for easier blending.
- Add the strawberries to a blender or food processor.
- Pour in the fresh lemon juice and add the sugar and lemon zest.
- Blend for 30–60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Taste the purée and adjust sweetness or lemon juice if needed.
- For a smoother texture, strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds.
- Transfer to a jar and refrigerate until ready to use.
Notes
Use fully ripe strawberries for the sweetest flavor. Adjust sugar depending on the natural sweetness of your fruit. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Freeze in ice cube trays for smoothies or future desserts. Add a splash of vanilla extract for a soft, warm flavor variation.
