These Strawberry Jam Thumbprint Cookies are soft, buttery, and filled with sweet strawberry jam. Inspired by traditional home baking, they are easy to make and perfect for holidays, afternoon coffee, or sharing with family.

- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Roll dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Press your thumb gently into the center of each cookie.
- Fill each indentation with strawberry jam.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–14 minutes until lightly golden.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Do not overbake these cookies. Use thick strawberry jam to prevent spreading. Dough can be chilled or frozen for later use.
