- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon strawberry extract or 2 tablespoons strawberry powder
- 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Pink sanding sugar for rolling (optional)
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla, and strawberry flavor and mix gently.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll dough into balls and coat with sugar.
- Bake at 175°C (350°F) for 9–11 minutes.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Do not overbake these cookies. They should look slightly soft in the center when removed from the oven. Dough can be frozen for later baking.
