Description

These Soft Japanese Matcha Dessert Bars are tender, creamy, and filled with delicate green tea flavor. Made with smooth white chocolate and vibrant matcha powder, these dessert bars offer a perfect balance of sweetness and earthy taste. Ingredients

  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 120 g unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 120 g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 80 g white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and white chocolate together until smooth.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and slightly thick.
  4. Slowly add melted chocolate mixture while whisking gently.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Sift together flour, matcha powder, and salt.
  7. Fold dry ingredients into batter.
  8. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  9. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are set.
  11. Allow bars to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Use bright green matcha powder for best flavor and color. Avoid overbaking to maintain the soft texture. Store bars in an airtight container for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Freeze individually wrapped bars for longer storage.
