Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Cream the butter and sugars – Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
Add eggs & vanilla – Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
Combine dry ingredients – Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Mix dough – Slowly combine wet and dry ingredients.
Add chocolate chips – Fold in chocolate chips.
Chill dough – Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Bake – Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
Cool & enjoy – Let rest on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
For extra gooey cookies, pull them out slightly underbaked.
Use a mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips for richer flavor.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
