Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla and mix well.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
- Chill dough for 20 minutes.
- Roll dough into balls and flatten slightly.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes.
- Cool cookies completely.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for icing.
- Color icing and decorate cookies.
Notes
Use room-temperature butter for best texture. Let cookies cool fully before icing. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze un-iced cookies for longer storage.
