- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time and whisk gently.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Fold dry ingredients into banana mixture.
- Pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until golden and set.
- Cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for best sweetness and flavor. Avoid overmixing the batter. Store banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
