Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups (250 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk
- 1/2 cup (90 g) white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly.
- Whisk melted butter with sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Add eggs one at a time and whisk well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix flour, matcha powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Sift the matcha mixture to remove any lumps.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Add milk and mix gently until smooth.
- Stir in white chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until edges are set but center remains soft.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
