Description

These oven-baked pigs in a blanket are warm, golden, and comforting. Juicy mini sausages wrapped in soft dough and baked until perfectly puffed, this easy recipe is ideal for parties, family gatherings, or cozy nights at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 450 g (1 lb) mini sausages
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent dough or puff pastry
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon sesame or poppy seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the dough and cut it into equal strips.
  3. Place one sausage at the edge of each strip and roll it up gently.
  4. Arrange the wrapped sausages seam-side down on the tray.
  5. Beat the egg with milk and brush over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle with seeds if desired.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

You can use chicken or beef sausages if preferred. Reheat leftovers in the oven to keep the dough crisp. These can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
