Ingredients
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 whole Oreo cookies
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, beating until smooth.
In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients.
Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Scoop 1 tbsp dough, flatten slightly, place an Oreo in the center, then cover with another tablespoon of dough. Seal the edges completely.
Arrange on baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Bake 13–15 minutes, until golden brown on edges but soft in center.
Cool for 10 minutes on the pan, then transfer to a rack. Enjoy warm!
Notes
For extra gooey centers, slightly underbake the cookies.
Chill the dough for 20 minutes before baking for thicker cookies.
Use flavored Oreos (mint, peanut butter, etc.) for fun variations!
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
