This One-Pan Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake is soft, chewy, and delightfully gooey in the center with golden crisp edges. Made with simple pantry ingredients in just one pan, it’s the perfect dessert for cozy nights, birthdays, or when you need something sweet and easy. Ingredients

  • 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

  • 1 cup (200g) brown sugar

  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs, room temperature

  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

  • 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 ½ cups (270g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Optional: flaky sea salt, vanilla ice cream, caramel or chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch cast iron skillet or round baking pan.

  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix again until creamy.

  • Add Dry Ingredients: Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Fold gently until combined  don’t overmix.

  • Add Chocolate Chips: Stir in chocolate chips, reserving a few for the top.

  • Bake: Spread dough evenly in the skillet. Bake 22–25 minutes until golden and set around the edges.

  • Cool & Serve: Let cool 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with ice cream or drizzle with chocolate.

Notes

  • For a gooier center, slightly underbake by 2 minutes.

  • You can use dark or milk chocolate chips, or a mix of both!

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

  • To reheat: warm a slice in the microwave for 15 seconds for that fresh-baked feel.
