Description

This One Bowl Banana Bread is a soft, moist, and easy homemade recipe made with ripe bananas and simple pantry ingredients. Everything mixes in a single bowl, making cleanup quick and baking effortless.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a 9×5 loaf pan.
  2. Mash ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  5. Mix gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow bread to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the best flavor. Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the bread soft. Store leftovers wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days.
