Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a microwave-safe mug.
  2. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Add milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Microwave for 60–90 seconds until the cake is set but soft.
  5. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze.
  6. Drizzle glaze over the warm cake and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overcook the mug cake or it will become dry. Let it rest for 1 minute before adding the glaze. You can add lemon zest or berries for extra flavor.
