Ingredients
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
A tiny pinch of salt
1 egg yolk (no white needed)
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Optional: pinch of flaky sea salt
Instructions
Melt the Butter: In a microwave-safe mug, melt the butter for 20–30 seconds until liquid.
Add Sugars & Vanilla: Stir in both sugars and vanilla extract until smooth.
Add Egg Yolk: Mix in the egg yolk until fully combined.
Add Flour & Chocolate Chips: Stir in the flour gently, then fold in the chocolate chips.
Microwave: Cook for 40–50 seconds (depending on your microwave). The cookie should look just set on top but gooey inside.
Cool & Enjoy: Let it cool for a minute before digging in. Add ice cream or sea salt for extra indulgence!
Notes
Don’t overcook — the cookie continues cooking after microwaving.
Substitute chocolate chips with white chocolate, peanut butter chips, or even crushed nuts.
For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil or vegan butter.
Best enjoyed fresh!
