Ingredients
- 1 cup sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon matcha powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup black sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl whisk sweet rice flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl mix milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Fold in black sesame seeds and optional white chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until the top is set.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Use glutinous rice flour to achieve the chewy mochi texture. Sift the matcha powder before mixing to prevent lumps. Toast black sesame seeds lightly to enhance their flavor. Store brownies in an airtight container for several days.
