Description

Matcha Cheesecake Brownies combine rich chocolate brownies with a creamy green tea cheesecake swirl. This dessert brings together fudgy texture, smooth cream cheese, and delicate matcha flavor for a unique and beautiful homemade treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk well.
  4. Combine cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into the batter and stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  7. Add sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and matcha powder and mix well.
  8. Spread most of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  9. Pour the matcha cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.
  10. Add small spoonfuls of remaining brownie batter and swirl gently.
  11. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set.
  12. Cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Use good-quality matcha powder for the best color and flavor. Allow brownies to cool completely before cutting for clean slices. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. These brownies can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
