- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 head butter or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add lean ground beef and cook, breaking it apart, until browned.
- Season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
- Finish with fresh lemon juice and remove from heat.
- Spoon the beef mixture into lettuce leaves and serve immediately.
Notes
Store the cooked beef filling in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Keep lettuce separate for best texture. You can add chili flakes for heat or swap soy sauce for coconut aminos.
