Description

Soft, buttery Homemade Japanese Matcha Brownies made with rich white chocolate and vibrant green tea powder. These fudgy brownies combine delicate earthy matcha flavor with creamy sweetness for a beautiful and unique dessert perfect with tea or coffee.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and white chocolate chips together until smooth.
  3. Stir granulated sugar into the melted mixture.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl whisk flour, matcha powder, salt, and baking powder.
  7. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  8. Mix in white chocolate chunks.
  9. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the center is just set.
  11. Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing.
