Description

This Ground Beef Mac and Cheese is creamy, hearty, and deeply comforting. Tender pasta, seasoned ground beef, and a rich homemade cheese sauce come together in a dish that feels like home. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g elbow macaroni
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft.
  3. Season the beef with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour until smooth.
  5. Slowly whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
  6. Add cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  7. Combine pasta, beef, and cheese sauce. Mix gently and serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for a smoother sauce. Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep it creamy. This dish can be baked with extra cheese on top for a golden finish.
