Description

These fudgy matcha white chocolate brownies combine earthy green tea flavor with creamy melted white chocolate. The result is a rich, soft, and indulgent dessert with a beautiful green color and perfectly balanced sweetness. Perfect for tea time, dessert tables, or whenever you crave something unique and comforting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g white chocolate, chopped
  • 120 g unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 120 g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 80 g white chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chopped white chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over gentle simmering water.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate bowl sift together flour, matcha powder, and salt.
  7. Fold the dry ingredients gently into the chocolate mixture.
  8. Add white chocolate chunks and mix lightly.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 20–24 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains slightly soft.
  11. Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Always sift matcha powder to remove lumps and achieve a smooth batter. Avoid overbaking to maintain the fudgy texture. Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. These brownies can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
