These fudgy matcha white chocolate brownies combine earthy green tea flavor with creamy melted white chocolate. Ingredients
- 200 g white chocolate, chopped
- 120 g unsalted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 120 g granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 120 g all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons matcha powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 80 g white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F) and line a square baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chopped white chocolate together in a heatproof bowl over gentle simmering water.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl sift together flour, matcha powder, and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients gently into the chocolate mixture.
- Add white chocolate chunks and mix lightly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20–24 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains slightly soft.
- Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
Always sift matcha powder to remove lumps and achieve a smooth batter. Avoid overbaking to maintain the fudgy texture. Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to a week. These brownies can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
