Description

My Easy 5-Ingredient Buffalo Chicken Dip brings big, cozy flavor with almost no effort. I mix tender shredded chicken with creamy cream cheese, tangy ranch (or blue cheese), spicy buffalo sauce, and plenty of melted cheese, then bake it until bubbly and irresistible. I love serving it hot for movie nights, game days, and last-minute gatherings because it disappears fast and makes everyone hover around the bowl for one more scoop.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or a mix)

Instructions

  1. I preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish (or similar).
  2. I add the softened cream cheese to a bowl and stir it until smooth and creamy.
  3. I pour in the buffalo sauce and mix well so the base turns silky and lightly orange.
  4. I fold in the shredded chicken until every piece gets coated.
  5. I stir in the ranch (or blue cheese) dressing, then mix in 3/4 cup of the shredded cheese.
  6. I spread the mixture evenly into the baking dish and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
  7. I bake for 18–22 minutes, until the edges bubble and the top looks melted and lightly golden.
  8. I rest the dip for 5 minutes, then serve it hot with chips, bread, celery, or cucumber slices.

Notes

I soften the cream cheese on the counter for the smoothest texture. For extra heat, I add 1–2 more tablespoons of buffalo sauce or a pinch of cayenne. For a milder dip, I use less buffalo sauce and add a bit more dressing. I store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently (microwave in short bursts, stirring, or warm in the oven) to keep it creamy.
