Description

This creamy ranch buffalo chicken dip is my go-to crockpot recipe when I want something warm, comforting, and full of bold flavor. I make it slowly so the chicken becomes tender and every bite melts together with ranch, buffalo sauce, and creamy cheese. It is perfect for gatherings, family nights, or anytime you want an easy dip that feels indulgent and homemade.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 225 g (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. I lightly grease the inside of my crockpot so nothing sticks.
  2. I add the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and butter into the crockpot.
  3. I stir gently until everything starts to come together.
  4. I add the shredded chicken, garlic powder, and black pepper, then mix well.
  5. I sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. I cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring once halfway through.
  7. I stir again until the dip becomes smooth and creamy.
  8. I garnish with green onions if I feel like adding freshness, then serve warm.

Notes

I use rotisserie chicken when I want to save time. I adjust the buffalo sauce depending on how spicy I want it. This dip stays creamy if kept on the warm setting, and leftovers reheat beautifully the next day.
