Description

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 1 kg potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, then drain and mash with butter and warm milk.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the beef on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, cook the onion until soft, then add garlic.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the onion mixture and stir well.
  5. Slowly add beef broth, stirring until smooth.
  6. Return beef to the pan, add cream, and simmer until tender and creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and serve over mashed potatoes.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a pinch of paprika or fresh herbs. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently with a splash of milk or broth.
