Description

This classic ground beef meatloaf is juicy, tender, and full of comforting flavor. Made with simple pantry ingredients and topped with a sweet and savory glaze, it’s the perfect family dinner that feels warm, familiar, and deeply satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking pan.
  2. Soak breadcrumbs in milk for 2 minutes.
  3. Add eggs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Gently mix in ground beef until just combined.
  5. Shape mixture into a loaf and place on pan.
  6. Spread ketchup evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 55 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Mix gently to avoid a dense texture. You can substitute half the beef with ground turkey. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze slices for later meals.
