- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup (115 g) melted butter
- 3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- Mash ripe bananas in a large bowl.
- Mix in melted butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Fold dry ingredients into banana mixture.
- Stir in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas with dark spots for the sweetest flavor. Store banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or freeze slices for later.
