Ingredients
1 (15.25 oz) pack yellow cake mix
⅓ cup oil or melted butter
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1½ cups (12 oz) chocolate chips (semisweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C (160°C fan oven) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs with oil or melted butter until smooth.
Add cake mix and stir with a spatula until a thick dough forms.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread and press dough evenly into prepared pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges turn light golden brown.
Cool completely in the pan, then slice into 16 bars.
Notes
For extra richness, use melted butter instead of oil.
Try adding chopped walnuts, caramel drizzle, or sea salt for a twist.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
