Description

This chocolate chip banana bread is soft, moist, and filled with rich banana flavor and melty chocolate chips. It’s an easy homemade loaf perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a comforting snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow bread to cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and natural sweetness. Store banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze slices for longer storage.
