- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Mix in melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow bread to cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and natural sweetness. Store banana bread in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze slices for longer storage.
