Description

These Bakery-Style Matcha Brownies are soft, fudgy, and full of delicate green tea flavor. Made with creamy white chocolate and vibrant matcha powder, these brownies deliver a perfect balance of sweetness and earthy richness. The texture stays moist and chewy just like brownies from your favorite bakery. They are easy to make and perfect for dessert tables, afternoon coffee, or a cozy homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200 g white chocolate
  • 120 g unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 120 g granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 80 g white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C (340°F) and line an 8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the white chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until pale and slightly thick.
  4. Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture while whisking gently.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Sift together flour, matcha powder, and salt.
  7. Fold the dry ingredients into the batter until just combined.
  8. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the edges set but the center remains slightly soft.
  11. Allow brownies to cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Use high-quality matcha powder for the best flavor and vibrant green color. Do not overbake the brownies or they may lose their fudgy texture. Store brownies in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 5 days. You can also freeze individual pieces for up to 2 months.
