Soft, chewy, and buttery  these 20-minute chocolate chip cookies are the ultimate quick treat. Made with simple ingredients and no chilling time, they’re perfect for instant sweet cravings or cozy family moments.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar (packed)

  • ¼ cup (50g) white sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup (180g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.

  • Add egg and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.

  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients.

  • Fold in chocolate chips.

  • Scoop dough (1½ tbsp each) onto the baking sheet.

  • Bake for 9–10 minutes, until edges are golden but centers still look soft.

  • Let cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For chewier cookies, use more brown sugar than white sugar.

  • Don’t overbake  they’ll finish setting as they cool.

  • Add a pinch of sea salt on top for bakery-style flavor.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
